Nancy Gail Gordon, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, is the vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer (CNO) of Homestead Hospital. As a long-time employee of 43 years, her career in Baptist Health South Florida began as a candy striper. Since then, she has assumed various nursing positions ranging from clinical, supervisory, education to administrative before becoming CNO of Homestead Hospital for the past 22 years. As CNO, she has led the nursing service department through major events such as hurricane Andrew, planning and design of the replacement Homestead Hospital, subsequent patient move from the old to the new facility and implementation of electronic medical record system.
