Homestead Hospital participates in the annual National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) RN Survey with Practice Environment Scales (PES). The latest survey was conducted over a 3-week period in May 2014. The participation rate was 87% (N=313), well above the benchmark mean of 69.36% (bed size 100-199).

Evaluation
The 2014 RN survey results denotes high engagement and work environment satisfaction among clinical nurses as evidenced by participation rate and PES category mean scores that outperformed the national benchmark across the board. This is further validated by a job enjoyment scale T-score of 66.70, considered to be in the highly satisfied level, and exceeding the national benchmark (mean=58.89 for 100-199 bed size).
