EP22EO Unit- or clinic-level nurse-sensitive clinical indicator data outperform the mean or median of the national database used.
EP22EOa: For an acute care organization with or without ambulatory/outpatient services, six nurse-sensitive clinical indicators are required. The required indicators for all acute care organizations include falls with injury, hospital-acquired pressure ulcers stages 2 and above, central line-associated bloodstream infection, and catheter-associated urinary tract infection. The remaining two nurse-sensitive clinical indicators must be selected from the list in Table 5. For organizations with ambulatory/outpatient services only, two nurse-sensitive clinical indicators are required, which must be selected from the list in Table 5.
Provide ‘Falls with Injury’ data at the unit-level to demonstrate outperformance of the national database used.

Analysis: Above graph demonstrates that 3 South and MS4 have outperformed the benchmark in 6/8 and 5/8 quarters respectively, and have thus outperformed the national benchmark in majority of the quarters. MS5 has outperformed the benchmark in 4/8 quarters, which is not the majority of the quarters. MS3 was previously utilized as an overflow unit and did not meet vendor criteria for reporting until it has been recently reopened as a full-time unit in May 2014. It has outperformed the benchmark in 4/4 quarters.
